Thumbs up Bill MacParker

Could purchase a 89 F250 4x4 ,7.3. has 160,000 miles, engine sounds great. I had an 85 6.9 that I had over 300,000 on till my son got crosways of the worldmnad blew up my engine. MY QUESTION is on this 89 you have to depress the clutch ALL the way down to start and depress it ALL the way down to shift. Is there an adjustment, or is something else haywire?
Aloha to All

There is no adjustment to these . You could disconnect the clutch safty switch , that would allow the engine to start with out pushing the clutch pedel . I had an '86 6.9 , 4 speed and use to shift with out the clutch most of the time ( a habit from driving big truck ) . It could be the clutch plate is at the end of it's life and needs replacing .

I'd check the firewall to see if it is flexing when you push the clutch, that is a fairly common problem. Ford had a stiffening kit for the previous body style, don't know about your year but worth checking.
