SEFI on a '72

I would like to know if I can put SEFI on my current 302 or will I have to swap the whole motor? Being a non-EGR motor affect anything? And will I have to add MASS air to it since it still has the original cam? Looking to gain some extra MPG's and better cold weather starting. Thanks for any help.

It would be a lot of wiring, but it can be done. You may as well go with mass air too while you are swapping, and then you wouldn't have to worry about the cam. You'll need intake manifold, distributor, fuel pump, high pressure fuel line to and from the tank, injectors, all engine sensors, wiring harness, computer, etc. Not having EGR might cause the engine to run slightly lean at part throttle cruise.
