Wondering what you guys think is a fair price to offer,(or ask for,for that matter)
I found a, not sure what year, think 76 or 77, 3/4 long box, high pinion d44 front end. It has no motor in it, np435, think its a np205. Umm Body isnt in great shape, quite a bit of rust. Not sure what size tires, 33's or soemhing. A couple flats. I just got the guys # today, going to phone this evening.
What do you think is a fair price?? In cdn funds. I was thinkin maybe 500 ish??
Ps. I forgot to look at the cab floors. The cab corners arnt to good, wheel well minor rust, stuff like that.
sounds like a pretty fair offer to me, i picked up a 77 3/4 ton, 4x4 with the dana 44 front and an automatic a year or so ago. It came with running 400ci and a body typical for northern BC for a $1000 cdn.
Oh cool man,
Ive been living in Fort St John in the winter, back down on Vancouver island for the summers. Ill be headin back up there in about 10 days or so.
I phoned the guy about htat truck, turns out hes rebuilding a 390 and fixing the cab and body work and will want 4500 for it.and no box either. Im not interested anymore.
I like to build up my own rigs
yah for sure i hear yah, that 77 i have is a crew cab short box, dont like the crew cab but it works. I broke the crank in the 400ci so it got replaced with a 460, and i built a lift to clear a set of 38.5 gumbo mudders, next year i have a dana 60 front and a 70 rear to swap in, hopefully it will all work out, do you have a truck now?
Ah, nice man. Why dont you like the crew cab?
I got a 78' single cab, shortbox with some 39.5 meats and a 390. I have lotsa fun with it. Spent a bit of money on er so far, just for upgrades, not because ive had to tho. Got to go make some money now, me e.i runs out soon
That 60 and 70 combo will be real nice, and tough. My buddy has that combo under a 77 supercab. Mean stuff,
cheers
long story made short, guy I work with traded some vw stuff for 76 f2504x4.he tried to sell for $600,never sold, told me every day for weeks to at least come look at it and make an offer, finally went and looked at it, bed was real rough but the rest was solid, offer 350, he took it, I sold the bed for 200, now have 150 in it, and it runs like a champ.
