Squeaky steering wheel

Just a few days ago my steering wheel started squeaking when making low speed turns. I have read a few posts that sound similar, but more serious than mine. There is no resistance or clicking sound. Just a slight squeak in the steering column. It seems like it just needs some oil in there somewhere. Has anybody ever had to lubricate this? What all has to come apart and where do you put the oil? Thanks!

What year is your truck? My 97 does the same thing esp. when it is real humid outside. I think it's somewhere in the plastic/rubber covers where they meet from colum to steering wheel. I haven't pulled it apart or tried to mess with it yet, but sure is annoying. I'd like to know what it is and how to fix it too.

Mine is a 99. I have not associated it with humidity, but you could be right.
