Anyone up here?
Hey Mike,I had a chance to wheel some of your back country while I was working at the SP mill a couple of years ago ad had a great time.I am out of the Redding area and will be heading for Quincy to an SP mill out there for a year or so to put up a 40,000 sq ft steel building.Just started a 77 F-150 4x4 project for my son so we will make it up your way in the future to run some trails and get in some more fishing.Hope to cross trails with you,Don.

Redding/Chico/Burney/Mt. Shasta???? Heck, you live in the city. Come on over to Alturas and play in the Lava Rock. Very tough and easy to shred your tires if not careful. Use to do some off-roading near Burney but haven't been over there for any 4x4 activity since the big fire.
All kidding aside about living in the city, your area is a great place for recreation of all kinds. Being from that area, I'm sure you've heard of my favorite activity - ground squirrel shooting.

Paradise Here,
No classics just your aveage Ford Guy. Traded the 2003 Expedition for a 2001 Excursion Diesel to pull the Toy Hauler around.
Came to Chico State in 1991 from SD and fell in love with the mtns. Never looked back. Good jeeping in the highlakes above Inskip/Butte Meadows.
Lovin the Almanor area. Spend most of the summer recreating on the west shore. Good fishing in the area for sure.

Mike - I know what you mean by "eating regular" but I'm retired and don't worry about it. I shoot over to Redding about once a month to get things I need that are hard to get here and for a McDonald's cheeseburger. As you know the nearest McDonald's to Alturas is 87 miles over in Burney. Just bought a sweet used 2002 F-150 4x4, 5.4L with the FX4 package Friday (19 Nov 04) so I'll be making a quick trip down to Reno, NV for some parts. Hate to go. The traffic will suck. Anyway, maybe we can all get together sometime.
