Gas Guage Not Working??
Well, I filled the tank up to 1/2 yesterday and when I got home it was the same. This morning, the guage was between 1/2 and 1/4 and I dont know how it go there. when I turned the key(not starting it) it went to E!!!!!!! Needless to say I was verrrryyyy freaked and looked for the gas leak but didnt find any. Made it to school on E, bout a 7-8 mile drive. Do ya thing the sending unit is bad or the guage is bad? OR are the gremlins stealing it, maybe the govt?? O yea, It cant be going into the rear tank cause that one leaks baaaadddd so I would've noticed it. ANY HELP PLEASE!!!! Ill find out for sure later, Illl put 5$ in and see if the guage moves.

My money says it is the sender in the tank. These trucks have lousy sender units. My '92 has bad senders in both tanks. I just keep up with the mileage. If I ever have to change the fuel pumps I will change the sender units in the tanks. Maybe FORD has figured out a better idea by now.

Well, On the way home yesterday, it started working. It went to 1/4, to E to 1/2. It kept doing that untill I got home. I shook the truck(dont know why) and it went up to 1/2. So it must be an intermittent problem. Maybe a loose connection or bad ground??
