Well, my muffler pretty much fell off recently, due to my tailpipe rusting apart. I've been planning on getting a dual cat-back exhaust installed anyway... But, I'm not sure what cats or mufflers to get.
I want something loud, but also not too expensive.
I have seen some good cats for around $200, but since I'm gonna get 2, I don't wanna spend that kinda money.
Anybody have any suggestions on some not too expensive but also a good brand and whatnot?
Oh, and I have an 86 B2.
You should look at the legality of putting dual exhaust on first. It is illegal in some places. Call a muffler shop and ask them, they'll tell you. Some of the newer Chevy trucks (V8) have dual cats that are 2-1/2 inches in and out. This is a good size for duals and you might be able to get them at a scrap yard. Don't worry about using Chevy parts, all cats work in basically the same way. Besides, everyone knows Chevy makes a better truck anyway. :-)
