Hub Question

My truck started pulling to one side when I began braking, I though maybe it was a problem with my front driver-side rotor/pad. I pulled the tire, and off came my Hub with it, aparantly when I got new tires, (I have one rim that is mismatched, in design only) they crammed the rim onto my hub. The hole was _just_ big enough. I was just wondering, are the hubs supposed to come off that easy, or what?

PS-It was pulling 'cause I busted a U-Joint, again.

Hub Question

You must be talking about the plastic cover that sticks through the rim and covers the auto locking hub. They originally come with a keeper that fits on the lug bolt. Often they are removed & lost. If you are changing to manual hubs I would not worry about it. If not pick up some keepers at the dealer. I checked with my locally parts place when I needed some for the same problem & they did not list them.

Hub Question

Nope, they were manual hubs originally, but I am replacing them with stronger Warn hubs. I talked to a mechanic today and he said that those hubs just slip on, so apparently they come off like that all the time.
