Does anyone know if remote start can sense when the engine has started? I live in Minnesota, so the amount of time the starter needs to crank varies a lot. If you have experience with remote start let me know which ones are better than the rest. It's going into my 1999 F-250 Super Duty V-10. Thanks.
Yes, it senses if engine is running, and restarts the engine after starter cool down if engine failed to start on 1st try. I just had a Zieart remote start installed for $250. I have had Ziebart's in my last 2 vehicles, with this being my 3rd on my new 2004 F250. Philip.
I have the viper pager/remote in my 99 F350 V10. It was the best money I spent, ad it had pleanty of range. I live in AZ, th the idea is to get the AC running when it is 115' out. The only downside to the darn thing is the remote is $150, and I have managed to destroy 2.
