Exclamation Trouble with AEM Brute Force

I was wondering if any of you intelligent gentlemen could tell me what the problem might be. First I have a 2004 F250 6.0 powerstroke. For the fisrt few months after the intake was on, nothing was wrong. My "check engine" light comes on. After awhile it will go away, yet returns soon after. So I cleaned my filter and that worked for a bit, then the light was on again. Also when I step on the gas pretty hard and let off completely shortly, what i believe is my intake, makes like a shuttering noise. I was wondering if anyone else has had these problems or has any idea what I am talking about. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long post.

Thanks,
Cameron

The noise is Wapapapapap...correct....well if it is that, no worry that is normal.
When you say "intake" was on, did you change something?
How many miles are on your truck, has it ever been in before.

Mine has the stock intake system and makes that wapapapapapa sound and I assume it is normal. Isn;t it like a blowoff valve?

Actually I was told by a Ford Diesel Tech that it was a pressure relief valve in the manifold. I was aware that there is no WASTEGATE on the 6.0.
