Fuel pump?
Fuel pump?
My husband's '90 BII was running great. He went to a friend's house and went to leave, and now it will just crank and crank and crank. He's checking everything as I type, but does anyone have any ideas of what it could be besides the fuel pump? That pump is in the tank (tank is full), and costs around $150.00. He's out of work, and I'm an at-home mom. We don't have $150.00 to fix it and find out that's not the problem. He did check the fuses. They're okay. Other than that, I know he's running some tests. Anyone else with the same problem? Help us please!! Thanks, Angel

I had the same problem on one of my Bronco's. I never did get it fixed but one possible place to check is the fuel pump relay which is the green one located on the passenger side fender. You can also check the inertia switch on the firewall.

If you turn on the ignition switch to start but do not ingage the starter you should hear the pump running, if not it is dead or the fues or ckt breaker is bad or the the roll over breaker has been switched off. Also if you are getting gas thru the fuel line you can press the schrader valve on the top left side of the engine fuel log(looks like a tire valve with a cap on it) and gas should squirt out.

There is a 30-amp fuse on the inner passenger fender and an inertia switch located on the passenger firewall next to the transmission hump. You can check both of these.
Also, there is a valve located on the fuel rail on the right side of the manifold. This valve (mine had a black cap) looks like an air-valve found on bicycle tires, and by pushing the plunger in it, air/fuel is allowed to escape. You will need to bleed the air for the injectors using this valve after changing the pump to get the truck to start.
I just (yesterday) bought a brand new AC Delco fuel pump for my 90' Bronco II (with the 2.9 V-6 EFI) for $65 from Walker Auto Parts, Raleigh, NC (phone: 919-833-7381) part #43-103.

Spend 1.00 and get 2 bottles of water remover\gas line anti-freeze.
The in the gas tank pump is cheaper than the one that mounts on the frame for some reason.
If you can't afford top of the line parts just get the el cheapo from advance with the lifetime warranty and save your receipts and that way the only thing you will lose is your time.
I spent 300 bucks on parts before I solved my problem with this simple solution.
If you already repaired this Bronco what was the problem?
