Happy 50th Stevie!
Today would have been SRV's 50th Birthday.
I'm fortunate enough to live in Austin where the radio station has played all Stevie, All Day.. There is also a celebration of his life down at the lake tonight, next to his Statue and I'll be there.
We miss you, Stevie..

Thanks for starting this thread. It's a nice way to reminisce about a fine, fine blues player, who's music I still cherish. His music is a staple on any long road trip- it puts the wife right out and puts me in a better state of mind...
A shame that he had to go when he did, too. I always say that God must have wanted to listen to the blues so he took Stevie. Our loss is heaven's gain
