You can use any Ford short bed from 1980-1996. Don't waste your time fixing a rotted or very rusty bed because by the time you get done buying the replacement panels, fitting them, preping them, you will spend way more money and time than what a good used bed would cost. If you have only one salvage yard available, just have them run a search for you.

I have a dual tank short bed off an 84 that I am ready to sell. It's not perfect. It has 2 rust holes back where the exhaust comes out, several dings on the inside. The lower right corner including the tailgate hinge is damaged.
The tailgate isn't too bad, and I have the taillights for it.
