So I won the AC battle but the wars not over. I replaced the thermastat it was made for Ford/Mazda V6s not an exact engine size could that be the probllem? (If so I hope you dont work at my local advancded auto.) Or what else could it be my dad said it seems like it has air in it but he said he didnt know how to get the air out....help...its cold....
I don't really understand your question, but it may help if you turned it to heat. LOL Email me at gabbygal1972@home.com with your exact question, and I might be able to fully answer. Angel
Had a similar problem with an Aerostar . Summer it blew hot air , Winter it blew cold air .. Did things like you , changed thermostat , Put cardboard in front of part of the radiator to bring up the coolant temp somewhat . Didn't help . Found the coolant hoses going to and from the heater core were both hot indicating that coolant was going thru the core . Ended up being that a pencil that someone had put up on the dash had fallen down into the defroster ductwork . It made it's way down to where the flap operates for the vent/AC/heat selection . It held the flap open a quarter inch and that was enough to allow hot air from the heater core in the summer & cold air from outside in the winter . Had to pull back the plastic cover from the heater assy on the inside firewall enough to get the pencil out . Was fine after that . Geez ..
