Fordtoberfest was a great time just like I expected and it was great to meet you all and get to talk to you face to face. This is a great chapter and I believe it was well proven today. The trucks there were awesome, way better than mine (but I am very happy with my third place stock trophy) thanks again for making me feel welcome at my first g2g.
Glad you guys had a good time. We didn't have the attendance we expected but the trucks that showed up were amazing.
Lynn,
If someone does pick it up I sure want to be in it. Kinda sucks having my truck sitting there and no chance of a trophy...LOL. That's okay though..everyone seemed to have fun and we did too.
I agree with the fact that it would be nice if we could go to a show and have a chance to win a trophy, this is one of the reasons we started Fordtoberfest, EVERY other car show you go to, there is maybe one truck class where they group ALL trucks together...makes it kinda hard to win a trophy that way!
But after three years and still not hitting the attendance number we hoped, whats the point of doing it? its a buttload of work, and to have leftover trophies...
You could send me a "NO SHOW and DIDN'T EVEN PLAN IT" Trophy! lol
Hey all the meets are worth it. We are still taking baby steps as far as the chapters go. Some are having pretty good gtg's and I only forsee them getting bigger and better over time. Perhaps the National Meet that Ken is planning will turn out bigger and better. I think y'all done good. Keep up the good work.
Mitch, I understand the frustration that you guys face putting on an event like this each year. I just want you to know that I had a lot of fun and met a lot of good people in the process. Thanks to you, Duane, and Jon for all the hard work that was needed to make all this happen.
Even tru all the BS, I had a pretty good time. There were some SWEET trucks there to drool over. Big thanks to all who gave thier time to help make this thing happen, we couldn't have done it without ya.
hey jeremy good job on getting 3rd man and after you left and we were puttin the bronco on the trailer i noticed something hanging in the back seat window...............your bungee cord i forgot it was in there sorry about that and once again congrats.
I am just glad I could contribute to your 1st place custom beater don't worry about the bungee cord I have many of them. It is yours to use for shows to come.LOL
Glad everyone enjoyed the show it was a very good on this year thanks to Jon, Mitch and Duane.
Jon and Mitch,
I understand your frustrations believe me but this show wouldn't have turned out as well as it did had it not been for your hard work and dedication. As for entering your trucks that would be nice because you have some darn nice trucks that deserve to be shown, but let me point out on big item please. The whole event with all the fun, comradeship, awards as well as everything about the show are your trophies and yours alone. It is a testament to how you feel about the chapter, the members and Ford Trucks as a whole. You may not have a physical item to put on your shelf but you guy have made memories that will last a lifetime and have touched the lives of more people then you will ever know. That my friends will live forever and is the greatest award. That award is for the three of you from everyone.
Rollie, thanks, it's nice to know all our efforts didn't go unappreciated. It's stuff like that that won you Tim's award, no one was more deserving than you my friend.
I agree with everyone else. You completely deserve the award. You work your butt off for this chapter. You know a man is a true Ford man when his two sons are just as die hard.
