1972 C6 Question
Just bought a 1972 F250 with a 390 and C6. In the morning, the C6 will go directly into Reverse, but takes several minutes to engage in Drive. Once its in Drive, though. it works fine all day with no noticeable slipping or delays in shifts.
It seems like it needs to build up pressure, and once it does, all is ok.
Anybody run across something like this before? Is it repairable (ie something leaking down in the valve body), or will it require a complete overhaul?
