If you want the factory lights to power the PIAA lights at the same time as the OEM lights, I'd suggest using a relay. You can connect the relay to the power wire on the OEM to trigger the power to the PIAAs. Your PIAA lights should have a complete wiring setup including the relay, use their wiring and use the relay to trigger the power off the OEM harness.

I have a 2004 350 and have replaced the factory bumper and fog lights.
I want to use the factory head lights and the piaa replacement fog lights like I used the factory original setup .
I am not trying to use the new lights with the old fog lights.

I would say it will work fine to use the OEM wiring to run the lights. You may consider running a thicker gage wire to prevent damage due to current draw. If I remember correctly the OEM fogs are a 55 watt bulb.

Higher wattage bulbs

Slightly off subject.
But do the stock fog lights use H3 bulbs
If so I have seen some from Piaa and Sylviana and Hella that are higher wattage

65 up to around 130 instead of the standard 55 W

Would a higher wattage bulb be too much of a drain on the system.

I do have the dual batteries

Here are some sights that sell them

http://www.4by4connection.com/h3bulbs.html

I would think that the higher wattage bulbs would be a cheap alternitive to replacing or adding to the existing fog lamps but can the stock fog lights handle them
Any thoughts????
