I've got a '92 F-250 that is really "grabby" when you touch the brakes. It also doesn't seem to release straight away. I've noticed that when you take your foot off the pedal (with the engine running), it takes a good 2-3 seconds before the pedal starts to come up.
Any idea's or advice would be greatly appreciated.
do you have new pads? have you had any brake work done to it lately? i am tempted to say that your p/s pump is getting tired. does it whine when you turn any? check your p/s fluid pressure make sure it isn't too low
No brake work has been done lately no. Upon closer inspection found that the rear left drum was heating up more than the rear right on a short journey. I guess that points to some sort of adjustment issue.
Pardon my ignorance, but p/s ? Isn't that Power steering? Why would that have anything to do with the brakes?
Thanks for your help
