Does anybody have or know where I can get instructions to either the Daystar leveling kit or the Skyjacker kit online. A buddy of mine who helps me with some of the work on my truck would like to look at them before he tells me wether or not he thinks we can do it or if I should have it installed. I've read on this forum that you don't need a spring compressor but on other forums I've read you do. So which is it do you or don't you. Can anybody at least sum up what you need to do to install the kit?
I've already had the exhaust done and my buddy and I are putting the Airaid Cold Air Intake on tomorrow. After that I want to do the Leveling kit next but if I have to have it installed I'll have to wait on it due to cash flow issues. Any help would be appreciated.
You can do it...don't waste your money paying someone to !!!
I don't have the exact instructions but it's pretty basic.
Take wheel off
Unbolt steering (one bolt, then swing out of the way)
Pop ball joint off
unbolt assembly (one on bottom, 3 on top)
Pull assembly out and compress springs
Get the spring compressor from any auto shop normally, pay for it, when you return it they give you your money back.
Put in spacers and re install.
It's 4 hours max, with two people you'll get it done quickly.
