rear defrost question

rear defrost question

Hey on a 2002 Explorer, you know for the front window defrost the vent is right on the dash near the bottom of the front windshield...my question is where is that vent for the rear defrost???

If you're talking about the liftgate window, it has electric defrost - the button is below the HVAC rotary controls.

yes i am talking about the liftgate window...so those lines on the window are what defrost the window??? I ask this because the cover on the liftgate panel rattles so i was goign to stick foam or something and i didnt want to block the defrost..thanks

Yes, those lines are the grid for defrost. Is your '02 still under warranty? If it is, see if the dealer can fix the rattle.

yes it is but everytime i bring it in they break something else or I get the its normal rattle or we cant hear it...and thats two different ones with the same answer...I would just buy the part myself but money is tight right now...maybe down the line i will...i have a loose door that they say is normal and i rather not get frustrated
