Beefing up the tranny
I bought a 97 f250 with 90,000 miles. Original owner says the tranny blew at 75k and he cried when he told me how much it was to rebuild. Any kind of chips or kits i need to look at before i install new exhaust, intake, chip, fun stuff etc...

Look at the Sonnax Valve and Tricummulator springs, I got mine from Diesel Innovations, check out their website. I think they can be used for your transmission, I put them on my '99 with the 4R100, and it made a nice improvement, firmed up the shifts. That's a cheap upgrade, around $50.
