2.9L fuel injectors

I am wondering if any of you know if the fuel injectors from a 3.0 are compatable with the 2.9 ? I have or can get a set of injectors for a 3.0 for nothing, that is why I would like to know. Any help is appreciated.

I know that there are 5.0 V8 injectors compatible with the 2.9, don't know much about the 3.0's. If you're interested in the 5.0 injectors, check Summit Racing, and search for ADS 19lb injectors for a 5.0L V8.

Can you replace stock injectors and get more hp ??? Never tinkered or looked into replacing them.

I don't think you would gain HP just from that. You would have to upgrade intake, exhaust, maybe new cam, you would need 8mm spark plug wires, new spark plugs with higher output, MDS ignition or Crane.. There's a lot to add, but you can do one at a time, I would start off with exhaust, then go with air intake, then SP wires, then the SP's then ignition, then the injectors to feed the beast. The 2.9L aren't a powerhouse by any means. If you want to feel more, put in the 86-87 TB if you have a newer one. Then if you haven't already, I'd replace your 3.67 gears to 4.10's. Anything else just post it.

If they are the same color the flow rate will be the same.
