Well my clutch fork fell off about 4 months ago while I was adjusting the clutch. Come to find out the little lever that the fork pivots on was loose. One of the two bolts had broken off. I kinda impovised and bent the tang on the back of the fork to cause pressure and left it at that.
Now the clutch is acting kinda funky; when I take off after parking for a while the clutch peddle kinda pops up as if it were half way ingaged. At times It wont let me get in into reverse. It acts like it needs to be adjusted but I know it will just fall apart.
So what Im getting at is how do I replace the clutch assembly? Does anyone have any suggestions? Where can i get the parts cheap?
You can fix the little bracket on the truck by drilling out the rivets, and replacing them with 5/16 allen screws. Then later when you have the bellhousing out, put in 3/8 allens. Replacing the clutch is easy if you have a transmission jack. I would go with a diaphram type pressure plate.
