engine removal
hey guys just wondering if anyone can help me with an engine removal we have disconnected everything transmission bolts exhaust motor mounts pwr steering all that stuff and still cant get the motor to come loose any ideas that you could help me out with

if it is stuck in the bellhousing, check and make sure all the bolts are out. sometimes they get burried in grease. make sure the starter is off. raise the motor and put a little forward pressure on it, not too much now. use a prybar between the motor and bellhousing at the corners of the block, one on each side. just wiggle and pry carefully, it should come loose. sometimes after 25 or 30 years the alignment dowels will get rusty and seize in the bellhousing, just takes a little persuasion to get em out.
