heads question

I restoring a 75 ranchero and I picked up a set of 71 2v heads that had a 3 angle vj 3000 miles ago. I was going to use these on a 400 engine rebuild until today I picked up a set of 1980 brand new reman heads for $50. If this was your car which heads would you use?<! and which ones would you sell.> I have a edel carb and intake, timing set, crane cam and lifters and push rods, headers...

I'd use the 71 2V heads - better exhaust ports, and 3000 miles shouldn't have done much to wear them out. It's up to you though.....

ok, so if I install the 71 heads, should I take the valve stuff off the new heads and put them on the 71's?
