Having installed a couple of window motors before I have a thought. Im thinking that the bolts holding the motor against the cogs that raise the window have backed off, so the wheel of the motor isnt connecting. Best course of action is to pop off the door trim and take a look at whats going on. See what you can see, the post again.

thanks for the reply, I popped off the cover but I couldn't feel anything loose it is hard to evaluate because of the metal plate in front of the motor. is there a way to get around that or take it off?

Not really. Youve gotta contort your head to look in to see what the gears are doing. If you end up having to remove the motor, you will have to drill out the rivets, then use bolts when you reinstall it. It is a real pain in the ****. Without seeing your situation I couldnt really give you an accurate answer for you. Good luck, man.
