Skyjacker 3" lift

Is anyone useing this? I cant find much info on it, is it worth the extra money compared to a leveling spacer? I would like to run 33x12.5 on 17"x9" wheels

I am running the 3" skyjacker. It def lifts the truck. Check out my pictures. I am running Nitto 325 60 18's on 18X10 Weld wheels. I have a friend that runs 33's on 17's with the leveling kit. It works. I like the skyjacker over the leveling kit. I think the kit is around $500 from skyjacker. I have a ton of people ask what I have in mine.

I have the 3" skyjacker body lift & the 2.5" skyjacker leveling kit, One word AWESOME look. However I still have the stock 18 X 7.5 wheels & tires . The ride has not changed 1 bit. Stock tires will pass for now it doesnt look funny I can probably squeeeze on 35" tires but will have to modify the mud flaps in front or just remove them.. I put in the finishing flaps to top off the look instead of seeing the hardware.

With the 3" Skyjacker kit and the 10" wide wheels the tires do grab the fender flare towards the cab. No rubbing on the bumper side at all. The fender flares are only attached by some plastic push pins so the first time it grabs, it will pull the push pin out. It did not break the flare. I trimmed the portion of the fender flare inside the wheel well and then screwed the flare to the bottom of the fender. When you get them put on, the place to trim will be evident. It certainly does not effect the look of the flare and the flare is soft enough plastic to cut with a razor knife. Once you trim the flare the only time it will rub is if you have the wheels locked to one side or the other and flex the suspension REALLY hard. The tire will rub the inner fender slightly. I tied the inner fender back just a hair and this has not happened again.

I think the 3" kit gives the truck a really cool look. I get a ton of comments.

I had the skyjacker 3" kit installed about 10 days ago and when I go over a speed bump I get a clucking sound coming from both sides of the front end. Sounds like the upper control arms could be hitting the coils. Does anyone else experience this?

How does your truck ride with the lift? I read a post on another site and the guy says do not buy it cause it makes the truck ride horrible

I have not had this. I wonder if you have a problem with the way they installed it. I would think the coil hitting the control arm is pretty serious. Are there any marks on the coil or the control arm?

Any time you play with the suspension you will effect the ride to a certain degree. If I had to rate the change in ride on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the worst effect, I would rate it as a 3. My truck rides stiffer but the ride is still way better than the outgoing 150. Everyone that drives my truck is impressed that the Skyjacker kit did not effect the ride much. Its all about preference. If you are looking to lift your truck, you will effect the ride. I guess that is part of the sell off.

I had a heart to heart talk with the installer and they finally caller Skyjacker for advise, it turns out you need to have the coils installed a certain way and my coils were 180 degrees off. Once they rotated the coils everything worked.

I had my truck off road today and you could not ask for a better system.

That is the perfect looking truck very clean and not overdone. How difficult was that kit to install? I want to do mine just like that!!! But I need more info on the kit, does it cause any premature wear/tear? Does it cause any adverse road handling.... Let me know, Again awesome looking truck!!!
