Static in AM, none in FM
I installed an Alpine head unit awhile back in a 1991 F150 XLT.
I bought the CD player from Crutchfields, so they supplied the
player to factory wire connectors. I'm getting a buzz when in AM mode
- well actually, the radio is giving off a buzzing sound, none in FM.
If I push the cigarette lighter in or turn on the lights, the buzz goes away. I thought maybe it was a ground issue and put an extra ground wire on the player ground wire and attached it to a metal part under the dash, that didn't make a difference, so I took it back off.
Any ideas? Thanks
