what is the towing capacity of a 1987 Bronco II 5speed, 4wd,with a 2.9 v6?

also how much does the vehicle itself weigh?

i would be towing with a class II receiver hitch system rated to 3500 lbs.

Well, all i can say is, I towed a 16' enclosed trailer with a good 500-100lbs inside. I had a little trouble with hills, but that was it. I also had an automatic in mine too.

In the owners manual, on the hitch it says 2,000lbs can be towed, at the bumper.

I'd think with a Class II you'd get 2,500 max.. Gotta remember she isn't a heavy big truck. I've safely towed 1100 on my bumper, but not at speed or distance.[br]
