You can use your VIN to check the Ford site for recalls that pertain to your particular vehicle... keep in mind some of the recall notices only pertain to the ones created between certain dates, or on certain shifts... don't freak out until you find out!

Tell me about it, my 1998 Ranger must have been on a real short recall list - like "Anyone who owns a rig that was built by Joe Bob please take your truck in for immediate destruction. His wife just left him for a guy in Accounting.". That truck had 4 major failures in 20,000 miles.
