300 Problems????
Hey guys my buddy has a 91 F150 with the 4.9 EFI. He's having a problem with starting it. It was running good, then he parked it for about a month, a rainy month, and now he cant get it to start. He was getting a very weak spark at the coil, but nothing at the cap. So he replaced the rotor and cap, as well as plugs and wires. He also put in a new coil and cleaned the electrical connections. When he checked for spark at the coil, it had a very strong spark, then when he tried again, nothing. He put a meter on the wire connection comming to the coil, and it had power. The only thing we can think of is the module that feeds the coil. It was changed about 4 years ago. Does anybody have any ideas for me to tell him to try, or anything that we are missing?
