I have recently purchased the Ford shop manual for my 1988 Bronco ll. I read in the manual that i don't need to lift the intake off to replace the valve cover gaskets, but I have heard that you must do this form a mechanic. From the looks of it I don't have too, who is right?
No, you don't have to pull the intake. I replaced the valve cover gaskets on my '88 B2 a few years ago. I didn't have to remove anything but the valve covers. If you do it slowly you can remove them without having to disconnect anythign that runs by the covers.
