1977 Air Pump?

We Have A 1977 Ford F-150 Vin Number F14hcy81061- We Need To Know If It Was Equipped With An Air Pump From Factory

I really couldn't say. I think some other guy's on here might be able to help a little more.

Model Year: 77
Series: F150 - 4x4 Pickup
Engine: 8 Cyl, 351ci (5.8L) 2bbl
Assembly Plant: Ontario Truck

well i really might be able to say so I'll answer you also.The polution devices in 77 didn't include an air pump, at least not in the 335 series engines( M's).

I believe it had to do with the GVWR of the specific vehicle in question. The so called "heavy half ton" had a weight rating above what the govt. required for the smog pump, so it was exempt. The regular half ton and the F100's weight ratings were under the requirement so they were fitted with the pumps. Your VIN indicates that you have basically the same truck as I, a '77 F150 4X4, 351ci V8. Your truck wouldn't have been fitted with the smog pump. Oh, by the way, your truck was built in Ontario.
