Thanks to all. The only nad part is - I don't think I have one brand that comes up more than once. All of you seems happy - So I'm taking names and doing the research. As I look at my bed extender, it seems that most should be ok.
I'm gonna need some better close up shots to feel comfortable on the seal & seams as they meet the bed, as well as security.
Has anyone out there put a tonneau on a Flareside yet. I am getting read to order my Tool box, and would like to install a cover on the rest of the bed, since I live in Hawaii. Problem is , I can't seem to find any companies that manufacture tonneaus for the Flareside 6'5 bed.
Thanks, jack
I have a Leer, see pics in my gallery. Like it a lot, it forms real nice to the truck. The dealer took the paint code off the door, so it matches perfect. No drilling, however it too takes two to remove it. I have a bedrug installed and haven't had any problems with water intrusion.
That is a sweet setup! I'm getting a 2010 F150 Lariat and want the bed to look like that!
I've had camper shells in the past and decided to go with a hard tonneau cover this time. I found a used Century at a good price. No issues that you would not have with any tonneau cover. It only has a battery operated light with a manual switch...I'm considering one of the LED rail light kits.
No bed extender, but I think it should fit.
Color match is perfect.
One thing to measure is how high the cover raises...I'm relatively tall and it's a nuisance.

Gonna be tough finding one for a flareside with a tool box too.
My '07 Flareside had a new Truxedo LowPro QT roll up soft cover on it when I got it, but I wanted a hard shell cover. I ended up with an Undercover #2090 on my 6.5 foot Flareside. (I'll sell the LowPro here locally.)
I love this UC, you can walk on it and not scratch it's pebble grain finish, it weighs 56 pounds off the truck, can have it off in minutes so simply. It's paintable but I'ld wonder "why", then walking on it would ber a nono.
The only other hard cover for a Flareside that I could find is a Leer that you paint and which is so heavy, no one takes them on and off.
I have a 2011 F150 xlt supercrew on order and I looking to buy some sort of bed cover. I was really considering the RollBAK G-2 retractable Tonneau cover but was curious if anyone had any thoughts or comments??? I live in Michigan with some pretty tough winters and I'm not so sure how that cover would do in snow/ice/wet weather???
