I wouldn't try to jury-rig something like that. Find rims that FIT your truck. If you have 5x4 1/2, then find 5x4 1/2, not something you have to fab up to make work. It's not just you out on the road, it's the people you might hit when the truck loses control. Just my $.02

a while back we had a post on 97 and up rims on older trucks and since then i have seen alot of trucks with those rims,i even took a pic of one so im guessing there is a way to make a rim that is real close in size fit and maybe it will be safe?

A quarter inch off isn't exactly what you call close...
5x4.5" 15" wheels are much easier to find than 5x4.75" wheels anyhow.
Just look for a Ranger, Aerostar, Exploder, or Crown Vic if you want used wheels.
5x4.5 aftermarket wheels are VERY common.

Backspacing/offset is also an issue for what you look at. On the S-10 I went with 92 (I think) all rear Camero rims. The offset was different front to back. And I wanted to use the 93 and up style Camero rims but couldn't. All four were same offset, but it was all wrong for my truck.

well now i know what to look for, i just lowered the truck yesterday ill post pics if u guys want to see, looks nice with the rims i got on but i was just thinking of the camero rs rims and they sure would look nice on mine.
