I believe that Ford first used the Ranger name for the base model Edsel. Then Pacer, Corsair & Citation.
Courier was a 50s sedan delivery.
Aerostar was a 30s? panel truck.
Fair Lane was the name of Henry Fords' estate.
Villager was the middle Edsel station wagon. The Roundup was the Edsel work wagon and Bermuda was the deluxe wagon. And, no, there was never an Edsel Ranchero or retractable produced by Ford.
