Interior light show
Hey all. First post, but I've been a driver of Ford family vehicles from my very first car ('89 Colony Park station wagon in '94). I recently traded in my beloved '95 XLT Exploder with 150k miles in for a (relatively) new, shiny, '99 XLT. Everything is ship shape *except*... the interior lights (instrument cluster, door/window switches, stereo, compass, etc.) intermittently flicker, dim, brighten, and sometimes go out completely. It seems to happen at any time. All exterior lights and the turn signal lights on the dashboard seem to work fine. I've been Googling my fingers off and can't seem to find a reference to the same problem, so I'm hoping I can add to the knowledge base here. Thanks in advance!

Further randomness
I drove to work today with my lights on, and the dash lights stayed on almost all the way down the approximately 50 mile trip, then started freaking out when I got near my destination (but before I got off the highway). Then, they didn't work at all the whole way back home (when it was dark, of course) from when I started the car to when I got home, but the clock and compass lights were bright the whole time, so maybe it is the switch. I will see about maybe doing a transplant from my old XLT.
