No start after fuel filter replacement...?
Replaced the fuel filter and had some trouble reattaching the forward fuel line. The springy-tangs were bent out so i had to retension them and eventually got the line back on the filter. Anyway, the truck fired right up after replacing the filter BUT after sitting for over an hour it would not start!
It eventually did fire up but after nearly killing the battery and was running very rough before finally smoothing out.
The truck has always fired right up when cold, although has had some trouble starting after it's warmed up and sitting for around 5-60 minutes. Seems it does not like warm start ups.
I checked the fuel inertia switch behind the right side kick panel...it's not tripped. I checked the Chilton's (for what it's worth) and it mentions that air could become trapped in the fuel system during filter replacement. Would this be a cause of the no-start issue and how could i resolve it? Any help is much appreciated!
Thank you,
Chuck
