I left mine alone because back in 96 I bought a new ranger and thought I could take them off... They came off alright... With the fabric too. The only thing I could think of is to take out the sunvisors and have them reapholstered.
YOu will be violating more federal laws than if you cut off your mattress tag
Ha ha... not too sure if you're joking or not but this is not true. The removing of "WARNING" stickers, tags or whatever is prohobited only for the seller, not the consumer. The consumer can remove any tags without violating any laws.

I was joking, but you can never be too paranoid of the mattress police
Use goof off from Lowes or any home improvement store. I would just test it in an inconspicous place first to assure that it will not discolor anything....I have used it numerous places and so far no porblems.
I've done this twice. The second time was last week. This time I got even lazier and skipped the hair dryer. I just put Goof Off on the edge of the label and let it soak under then pulled the end up with a tweezer and then used Goof Off on a q-tip to clear the glue off. If you pull slow and clear the glue the fabric will not stretch. There was no need to scrub at all, so the fabric didn't get all fuzzy.
The one thing you have to watch for is Goof Off will stain just the littlest bit, so I worked real fast and washed the Goof Off out with a hose as soon as possible. This time I only had to soak the visors in water twice.
As good as the last set looked, this sett looks even better. A faint outline is still there but in the cab you can't see it. I figure eventually the whole visor will fade to an even color.
