I lifted my 93 F250 with a Rancho 4" suspension lift. My truck has the ttb front end. Now that i have finished the lift my front tires are toed way in. They tires are not even touching on the ground on the inside. Did i do something wrong or do the new springs just need to break in a little. From the front my truck looks like this \ / !!! Well not quite that bad!
camber adjustment kit is what you need...then a good alignment from a place that knows how to do alignments on vehicles with suspension lifts. Luckily for me i deal with a guy in Pa..met him wheeling at the park..he does a good job.
you sure you installed the dropped pivot brackets in the middle? if it's that bad then i'd say you were missing something! other than that a competent alignment shop should be able to align it for ya. it'll prolly be about $50 and don't leave until you are comepletely satsifed. also, don't go up there with big huge tires on....the smaller the tire the better. they wil be much nicer to ya, lol.
Hey mx495 - I installed a 4" suspention lift (rough country) on my 1995 F250 - The kit came with new springs - shocks - pitman arm - drop down arms - rear blocks - and all new u-bolt hardware. When I was done the tires were so far cocked inward at the bottom that the tires skidded when backing up. There was no way I could of drove my truck that way. So for a solution i used my torch to heat up the tie-rod adjustment sleeve and adjusted the toe in as best as I could - then I was able to drive it until I was able to get it in for an alignment. My advise to you is to run 35" tires. I run 39" tires and i live in the Chicago area with many highways and mental case drivers who like to average 80 mph. That makes my truck a little bit in the scary side - If i got a blowout or somthing came apart on my front end I would take out everyone around me on the road including myself. Go with the 35"s and I feel you will be quite a bit safer and satisfied. Good luck - I wouldnt worry to muck about your lift kit It sounds to me you did it right , Tim
That's kind of what i was looking for. I already have the 35's ready to put on. i have to get it inspected with the small tires and then switch. I am going to get an alignment at the same time. Sounds like i have the same problem as you.I know i have the drop brackets correct, theres really only one clear way to install them on this kit. Thanks guys.
