53 Seat replacement
The original seat for my 53 is shot. Does anyone know of any modern bench seats that will fit?
I'd like to add seatbelts also, but don't know how to add them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Snipa,
I read that an early 90's vintage Chev seat will work. Should be something all ford to replace with..
Guys?

I ran an early 90's Ranger 60/40 seat. It was a real nice fit. I had to add a couple of tabs to mount them with and drill a couple of additional holes but they worked great. I chose to replace them with leather power buckets though.

No reason you can't have seat belts with your original seats, either lap or shoulder

Hey snipa, where are you located? Maybe somebody will help you out and buy your old seat.
Ditto on the Ranger 60/40 seat. And you should find an abundent supply in the junk yards. JOHN

I used a Ranger seat also....think it was like an early 80's version...60/40 split and it looks good..if you want seatbelts...i recommend getting a modern seat with the belts already made into the seat...saves a lot of money....

I used the ranger 60/40 split, and it fitted pretty good, I just fab my own brackets and bolted them to the seats/floor

Ford Explorer Seats are the correct width - Buckets or Bench. If you get the ones from the 2-Door Sport, they also fold forward.
