Adding Amp to 03 Expy
Is it possible to just add an amp to the stock 6 CD/stereo in the 03 Expy? The volume level/sound is not so great, but don't want to put a ton of money into it, so was thinking that I might be able to just add a small amp to boost it a bit.

You would need somthing like this, a Line Output Converter since the head unit doesn't have any preamp outputs. If your going to amp your speakers you should replace the stock ones with ones rated at more output.

I know you don't want to get pricey.....but
if you're adding an amp, you may as well replace the speakers, and the head unit, new changer...etc. You would be amazed how much a diference just an aftermarket head unit would make...let alone speakes and an amp. those stock stereos aren't all that great. fist thing i did was pull mine, and replace it with an Alpine...10 times better...even before I changed out the speakers.
