I am looking to possibley trade or buy a small bronco. It will be a daily driver for me.I am familiar with the big bronco's and the 73-79 trucks but I have never owned an early one. What should I be looking for? What is a good price range? I would like to have disc brakes and power steering and a removable hard top.For power Did they come with a 6cyl I also would like a stick. Any info will be helpful.
I have a 73 bronco and it has a snow plow for it. I would stay away from the snow plows because that means the were in the snow and salt. Make sure you check out for rust wholes because i bought this bronco and its alot of body work. If you want a snow plow i've seen them selling them on ebay. but they did come with 6 cyl and v-8's. i like the v-8 because its got more guts. I got a three speed manual but im going to put 35 inch tires on it and a zf trans for over drive for better gas milage. I think the 3 speed on the colum is cool and fun to do.
I believe the Early Broncos only came with factory front discs and power steering in 76 and 77 and I don't think they ever came with a factory four speed just the three on the tree. Price ranges are really dependent on your location I picked up a good running 77 in WY for $2,200. But the body is pretty rough. Good luck in your search and thanks for joining the crowd.
hay man welcome to the club.If your looking for an eb with disk youll have to get a 76/77.Removeable hardtops came on all years so that shouldnt be a problem as far as the grindbox they were standerd from 66/75 as 3 on the tree. And as price goes around here there as good as gold even rustbuckets go for 1500/2000.brakes and trannys are easy to change.not cheap but through wild horses or jeffs bronco graveyard you can get damn near anything.
