Okay, I''m pretty sure I've figured out how I wanna do my duals on my 350. I want to run true duals. I would like to delete the factory y and also the factory cat. What I don't know is: should I def. run two cats? and where should I place the H pipe? Pretty sure I'm gonna run two 40 series FM's. Anyideas on the cats and the H pipe? I know some of you are running duals and I did search but couldn't find these two items, thanks guys, Judd
Judd, look at my galleries, you are not gonna have many choices as to where to put the h-pipe.On the drivers side is the fuel tank which is why i ran my set-up like i did.For two cats you need to shield them from the trans as not to cook the trans and the floor will get hot..If you dont get inspected too good dont put them. You do not want to put the h-pipe to far from the engine because it makes it less effective.I put mine at the first place i could.Made a world of difference.I would suggest headers also,i ran mine a long time with the stock manifolds and when i put headers on it really was a big improvement. It actually made my truck more quiet, and gave me a major improvment in low end trq like i said in our other conversation.
Stone racing, an offbrand set i bought off of e-bay.A hard install but work and perform great.JBA's are good shorty headers,Gibson makes some also.I would go with a stainless steel header.I used copper gaskets from SCE gaskets.
Cool, exactly what I wanted to hear. Been thinking about getting a set off of ebay, the price kinda scared me off though. Headers are usually so darn expensive, go figure. Thanks for the help, Judd
