Question Any Ideas

Just wondering if anyone knows if I buy an alternator strap for an non air conditioning van could I bypass the ac pump,sounds like I blew something in there,what a sound.All suggestions are appreciated.

It's possible,you would have to run a string around all the pulleys,find the right size belt and see if it clears the a/c pulley. Also, do you still have a pulley that is adjustible for the tightning?

You would rather go with out AC than get it Fixed?

As much as it sounds silly, now where I live I don't believe I'll need it and the price of a compressor scares me.I live in the grest white north lol.Thanks for the reply.

i did that on my 3.0

just ask, or tell the parts guy you dont have AC. I cant remember if I fully described my intentions or not to the parts guy, but I got the right sized belt that fit everything and bypassed the ac compressor. worked great! better MPG too!
