rear end play
my 90 f150 4x2 supercab 5spd I6 3.08 rearend has a good bit of play in it, is there a way to adjust the slack out ?

Does it make noise? Heat up? Other issues?
If not, leave it alone.
You can tighten those things, but the problem is the gears need to be set to "pattern" correctly so the gears bear on each other evenly.
Resetting a worn gearset will just turn it into a howler.
Have you had work done on it recently? If so, check with the builder.
Otherwise, make sure your u joints are good and clunk on.
