Just got a 89 B2 with problems...........
I just bought a 89' b2 from an auction........... It runs but when I tried to drive it to my house the highest it would let me get was 30 mph with extremely slow acceleration, and when i was sitting at a light the engine just quit on me......... the car was sitting in the sun in the car lot since may and so i figured that if i got some fresh gas in it, a new battery, and changed the filter it should run a bit better.........
Im going to be working on it tomorrow and was just wondering if any of you had any other suggestions or info that would help me to get this thing up and running..........

Just got a 89 B2 with problems...........
I would check all the fluids. Change oil & filter, air & fuel filter. Check plugs, plug wires, distributor cap & rotor and replae if look old,worn, corrodet er. Pressure check the cooling system before you change the antifreeze. Grease etc. Pull all wheels & check brake pads & shoes for thickness or fluid leak. I too haqve a 89B2.

with the tranny problems the a4ld is a notoriusly(sp) bad transmission......but one thing that might help a little bit is take it out of overdrive when not on a highway...it helps a bit on my 86 b2
