Cool probs with bully chip!!!

hi all, jus got my 4 bank bully dog chip and its power is great, but its shifting like crap. it goes through 1st gear great but when 2nd goes to change it feels like it goes into 3rd then right back to 2nd real fast and it feels to me like it looses alot of its torque when it does it. i called bully on it and they said the chip increases the line pressure, changes the timing, and fuel. They said its normal but im not to sure about that. I jus need a little input and anything to help me solve this problem. thanks guys WD btw 97 psd cc 4x4 auto

It could just be the way the chip is programmed. Other than that the only thing I can think of is the chip connection. Did you clean the film off the pcm terminals good enough? You could be getting a bad connection between the chip and the pcm.

bully

i have a 02 with the 4 stage bully chip and have had no problems to date. I spent alot of effort to make sure that the silicon was cleaned off the chip though. I did find that the chip actually shifts hardest under part throttle in the second setting. You might try changing your setting up or down a notch and see what happens.

I've ran mine in all modes and am thrilled with it. Tow mode is a really firm shifts. Economy performance is hotter with less snappy shifts. The high performance shifts solidly under power but I can't max it out since it trips a CEL due to over boost and defuels.
I recently towed for the first time running from Hurricane Ivan pulling an '04 37' fifth wheel at about 15,000 or so. When I hit the hills at 70mph it would hit about 17 lbs boost and 1150-1200*. I think it would have ran all day there. Before the chip there's no way I could have ran that hard.
