Hey guys, i'm from Georgetown, approx. 20 mi. north of Austin. Luckily for me my parents own 60 acres, which they occasionally let me do some wheelin' on. I have an '82 F100 stepside, it's blue and silver, and OF COURSE has the 300" I-6
Born in old Kentuck, raised in central Ohio, and currently call North Carolina home. Isn't it amazing how far the internet has come? Allowing everyone here to share the knowledge over many miles. Boggles the mind.
I am from Connecticut. Another high tax, high emission restriction state. I guess I am kinda glad I got a newer fuel injected truck for commuting purposes. I can't play with it mechanically all that much, but it does pass emissions with flying colors.
Ozzie,
You ever hear of a place called Tellico, I think? I read about it in 4Wheel&Off-Road. It is somewhere in western NC and is supposed to be great for fourwheeling. A friend and I were thinking of taking a trip down there this summer for trail riding and adventure.

Yeah, Tellico is real close to the Smoky Mountains NP. Pretty rough country from what I saw of it. I'm sure it would be a great trip! Have fun!

I'm smack dab in the middle of Oregons "cowboy country" tho I'm not a cowboy...just had to get out of all the rain in the Portland area. We now live in Prineville...it's high desert, 3000' elevation at the house...10 inches of rain a year with summer highs of a hundred and winter lows of -10. Seven snow capped peaks within a 45 min drive, numerous lakes...20 min., the Pacific Coast a 4 hr. drive, "elbow" room, no smog laws (except federal), drive "ten over" with impunity...Jeesh, I hope they never find out about this place in California...
Salem, Connecticut here. Age 34, father of 6 boys, just finished my garage (aka new home) 24 X 32 and I've been a gearhead all my life.
I have the best truck I've ever owned (1983 F250 4X4, raven black and in need of a little TLC, but a daily driver just the same). "NukedF250" isn't because it's hurting, I just work at the neighborhood Nuclear Power Plant and it's all I could come up with in a short time.

Well for all you southern people. I live in Soldotna, Alaska and have for the past 17 years.
Father of two, both of them with the family back in Onio. I drive my 1977 F150 400/C6 daily. Am doing a complete restore on it. Have the drivetrain and suspension done and now into the body work. I use my Wife's 99 Durango 4x4 360 magnum as a parts runner. If it dont have 4 wheel drive and made in America on it...it dont set in my drive....LOL....
Recently moved from San Antonio, TX to Mobile, AL.. prior to that, Cheyenne, WY, Denver, CO, Germany, Omaha, NE, Rantoul, IL... with San Antonio appearing in the middle of all those moves at least 5 times... hence the nic name "Gypsybill"..

Snohomish, WA - 25 miles NE of Seattle. Actually live in the sticks about 15 miles SE of Snohomish. This is my first "real" pickup, and have wanted a Ford for years... had to really work on the wife to get this one.
If you don't have a pickup in this neck of the woods, you are eyed with great suspicion!
Have a LOT of fun arguing with my friends about their Dodges and Chevs over a beer!
