Hello from Canada

Mercury Dave sends greetings to all old Ford truck lovers. I drive a 1965 Mercury pickup which I completely rebuilt 20 years ago. It has beem modified with power steering, disc brakes, sway bars, overload springs, etc.to make it more than capable of carrying my camper. It has been all over the western U.S. as well as Mexico since I have owned and continues to run well. It always generates a lot of interest were ever I go with it as it is bright red with a white roof so It stands out in a crowd. It is usually the oldest rig in any campground I stay at and people are always more interested in it than any of the new wonder trucks that cost what I paid for my house 25 years ago. Being a Mercury truck makes it that much more interesting in the U.S. as they were only produced in Canada untill 1972. I am heading off this fall for a 3 week trip to Calf. so keep your eyes peeled for the bright red 65 Merc. Dave Sylvest.

Welcome to FTE Merc man! I have seen some NICE old Mercury pickups from Canada. Will keep an eye out for you in Northwest Montana in case you make it my way. Look for the FTE High Plains Drifter sticker in the back window...honk and say EH!
